Frequently asked questions
- How does DawnWord work?
- Each day, you get one short Scripture passage to read. Tap "Done" when you've finished, and your "Days in the Word" counter grows. That's it — two minutes a day.
- Do I need an internet connection?
- No. All passages are bundled with the app. You can read entirely offline.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open your device's Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, find DawnWord, and tap Cancel. You can also manage your subscription through the App Store or Google Play Store app.
- Can I get a refund?
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google. For Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, visit the Google Play Help Center.
- What Bible translation does DawnWord use?
- The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern public-domain translation that reads between the ESV and NIV in style.
- Does DawnWord track my data?
- No. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no servers. Everything stays on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- I missed a day — did I lose my progress?
- No! DawnWord counts total days you've read, not consecutive streaks. Missing a day doesn't reset anything.
- How do I change my notification time?
- Tap the menu icon on the reading screen, then select "Notifications" to adjust your daily reminder time.
- How do I change the text size?
- Tap the menu icon on the reading screen, then select "Text size" to choose between small, medium, and large.
